Does Brasserie Chez Clément offer a children's menu?

Chez Clément's children's menu is formalised on the official summer 2026 carte at 19:50€ for children under 12 years old. The composition is clear and complete: one main from four options (filet américain with fries, minced steak with fries, spaghetti bolognese or carbonara, chicken breast with tarragon sauce and croquettes), one ice-cream dessert (a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream, or red-berry or lemon sorbet), and a drink included (apple or orange juice, soft drink, or grenadine). From twelve years old onwards, children order from the regular carte.

Chez Clément is one of the most multi-generational brasseries of Walloon Brabant. On any given Sunday lunch, the dining room visibly hosts three generations around the same table, grandparents, parents and grandchildren, in a tradition that has run uninterrupted since 1858. The sixth generation is already in the making: June, the daughter of Marie and Gilles Verleyen (the fifth generation in charge since 2021), is growing up in the house. This is to say that the presence of children at Chez Clément is constitutive of the place.

In practice, children are perfectly at ease at Chez Clément. The main dining room (230 seats) absorbs families with real acoustic comfort. The veranda and the separate bar area provide quieter alternatives. For meals with very young children, the brasserie keeps 5 baby chairs on site (flag at booking to confirm availability). For babies and toddlers not covered by the menu, the team can adapt a simple portion thanks to chef Vincent's everything-made-in-house philosophy.

The brasserie's family-friendliness is also embedded in its signature events: the September Pétanque tournament (around 50 teams), which draws families from across Walloon Brabant. On Thursday evenings, the bar's atmosphere shifts with the Thursday disco nights (DJ from around 22:00 at the bar), families with young children are advised to book the early dinner sitting.
